TEETH WHITENING AFTER CARE
After teeth whitening, your enamel is temporarily more porous and prone to staining or sensitivity. What you do in the first 24–72 hours really matters for maintaining results and avoiding discomfort.

Right after whitening:
-
Avoid eating or drinking for at least 1 hour (or as directed).
-
Drink water to stay hydrated and help rinse your mouth.

For the next 24–48 hours (“white diet” rule):
-
Stick to light-colored, non-staining foods:
-
Good options: chicken, rice, pasta, potatoes, white fish, yogurt, egg whites, bananas
-
Avoid: coffee, tea, red wine, cola, berries, tomato sauce, soy sauce, curry

If you must have darker drinks, use a straw to reduce contact with your teeth.

Oral care tips:
-
Brush gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush.
-
Use toothpaste for sensitivity if needed (look for ingredients like potassium nitrate).
-
Avoid very hot or very cold foods if your teeth feel sensitive.
-
Don’t smoke or vape—nicotine stains quickly after whitening.

Sensitivity management:
-
Mild sensitivity is normal for a day or two.
-
You can use desensitizing toothpaste or gels.
-
Avoid acidic foods (like citrus) which can worsen discomfort.

Longer-term maintenance:
-
Limit staining foods/drinks or rinse your mouth after consuming them.
-
Maintain good oral hygiene (brush twice daily, floss).
-
Consider touch-up treatments as recommended by your dentist

If you experience severe pain or sensitivity lasting more than a few days, it’s a good idea to check in with your dentist.
TOOTH GEM
AFTER CARE
To keep your tooth gems secure, long-lasting, and sparkling, please follow these aftercare guidelines:

First 24 Hours
-
Avoid eating hard, sticky, or chewy foods
-
Do not bite directly into foods (use back teeth if possible)
-
Avoid hot drinks if sensitivity is present
-
Do not touch or play with your gem

First 48 Hours (Important Setting Period)
To ensure proper bonding:
-
Avoid foods like nuts, candies, gum, ice, and crusty bread
-
Avoid excessive pressure on the gem area
-
Be mindful when brushing around the gem

Oral Care
-
Brush gently twice daily using a soft toothbrush
-
Be careful around the gem—do not scrub directly over it
-
Floss carefully to avoid pulling or lifting the gem
-
Rinse with water after meals to maintain cleanliness

What to Avoid Long-Term
-
Biting nails, pens, or hard objects
-
Using teeth as tools (opening packages, etc.)
-
Excessive grinding or clenching (ask about protection options if needed)

Gem Care & Longevity
-
Tooth gems are cosmetic and may naturally loosen over time
-
Avoid harsh whitening products directly on the gem
-
Touch-ups or reapplication can be done as needed

Important Note
If your gem feels loose or comes off, do not attempt to fix it yourself—contact us for safe reapplication or visit your dentist for a proper removal.
